Venue Event Sales Associate
Bourbon Event Center is looking for a Venue Event Sales Associate to join the team. The successful candidate will be a valuable member of the team. They will fulfill the below responsibilities and have the following skills.
Responsibilities
- Events Sales Associate provides sales, marketing, and customer service for all aspects of events at Bourbon Event Center
- Develop a comprehensive strategy including action plans and schedules to identify specific sales prospects
- Maintain daily call minimums and weekly appointments/site visits/Tours to generate new business
- Prepare status reports, including activity, follow-up, closing, reports on special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity
- Prepare custom design proposals and presentations to clients
- Act as liaison between third party vendors in order to obtain additional nontraditional revenues for Bourbon Event Center
- Work with Venue Manager to coordinate venue break down and set up and ensure that all is done according to the clients specifications.
- Prepare for and attend exhibits, conferences, meetings, and other local, regional, and national promotional opportunities
- Maintain open communication between Bourbon Event Center and vendors and clients.
Skills
- Demonstrate passion for hospitality and/or the entertainment and event industry
- While industry experience is desirable, we are willing to provide training to the ideal candidate.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Creative problem solver
- Ability to collaborate with a cross functional team
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Excel
- Ability to learn new software (Zoho), specific to ticketing and CRM systems
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; 2-4 years of professional experience in hospitality or a related field; Alternatively, equivalent combination of education and experience
Compensation:
$36,000 Base Salary Plus Commissions And Bonuses Per Event That Could Generate Over $100,000 Per Year If The Venue Accomplishes Its Financial Goals.
For Each Event They Successfully Book And Coordinate, The Event Planner Will Receive Commissions, Such As 5% From The Rental Fee And 10% From Other Net Profits, Along With Potential Annual Bonus Tiers.
